The houses are built sqaute and they have realy thick walls so they are prepared for the storms.

Ther is an example of assonance in line two

The word wizend means shriveld and old but it can also mean wise and experienced

Nothing grows on the island

Ther is a sicsuora this is a deliberate breake in line one

Ther are breaks at the end of line 1 and 2. the rest of the poem uses enjomberment.

The first two lines have plenty of pauses in because they are preparing themselves for the storm thats coming. The rest of the poem talks about how the storm moves and changes. There are no stanzas in the poem because it is in the storm and cannot rest and pause

Line 6 to 10

Enjomberment in the first few line. Full blast this is unexpexted

Line 7 convesational tone (you know what i mean) It addresses the reader directly.

Line 10 the wind is personified because the wind cant pummel . It is given human characteristics.
